About Us ~

About us Wildfarm Backpackers is situated in the Cape Floristic Region of South Africa. They don’t have load-shedding anymore as they have a big solar system with backup batteries!!! There is no generator noise at the wild farm which is a huge win to have some peace from the generators!!! It is part of the picturesque Garden Route and is situated close to the lovely little village of Wilderness. It rests between the beautiful Outeniqua Mountains in the North and the warm Indian Ocean in the South.

Lots of activities to do in the Wilderness National Park and surrounding areas!

The Wild Farm Backpackers is located on the old farm “Uitsig” which is an Afrikaans word meaning “The View”. This name was given duly as the 360-degree view consists of stunning ocean, mountains, and lakes. The Wild Farm Backpackers is an old milk dairy farm that has been converted into the backpackers.
There is a large open-plan kitchen and TV lounge and outside there is a braai area and a shaded stoep (verandah) overlooking the Indian Ocean surf.
There are a variety of rooms available to visitors which consist of dorm rooms, log rooms, double rooms, and a camping area. All the rooms are clean and comfortable.

Wildfarm is about us, Centrally located within the Garden Route!

We have a large variety of vegetables that are produced with self-sufficiency in mind; they can be picked and enjoyed when preparing meals. But be forewarned, you may need to treat the horses to a freshly picked vegetable when doing so. Here at our home, we are all about having fun, discovering new experiences as well as soaking up the tranquility. While enjoying your stay with us, please remember to fool around with our friendly dogs, as they love new faces!

Beautiful view over Wilderness, nice place with a small bar restaurant and great breakfast. Big property and always a big variety of guests, the road is easy to drive if you‘re not a scary driver, its doable with any car =)

Situated in the heart of the Wilderness Mountain tops, beautiful windy road to the backpackers, with some breath taking views and oh the sunsets.! Friendly staff to tasty pizzas.! The Wild Farm knows how to entertain there customers, from chilled bands to loud new years party!

Great vibe! Stayed in the en suite cabin which is perfect for a couple.! Great live music, bar and pizza. Beautiful views too.!
